  2. About the Kodak DCS Filter

  4. This filter allows Cumulus™ to catalog image files created by Kodak DCS Cameras. The file type is “TIFF”.

  6. Supported Camera models are: DCS 420, DCS460, DCS 465, NC2000, EOSDCS1, EOSDCS3 and EOSDCS5.

  8. Depending on the Camera model the images can have different resolutions: M3 (1280x1024), M5 (1536x1024) or M6 (3072x2048). M6 images should be pattern corrected. For this task a unique pattern correction file is needed, which is made for every M6 camera. The pattern correction file must have a name given by the serial number of the camera and the suffix “.cal”. The filter searches for this file in the same folder where the image is. If the filter does not find the pattern correction file the thumbnail and the preview will not be pattern corrected. Therefore customers working with M6 images should save the pattern correction file in the same folder as their images.

With the Color Balance it is possible to color balance the thumbnail and the preview according to the lighting used when capturing the image. The Filter Setup allows to choose between six light sources: Daylight, Tungsten, Tungsten with BG40 filter (Tungsten BG40), Fluorescent, Flash and None. Changing the Color Balance after the image has been cataloged affects only the preview. 
  31. With the Add to the “Notes” field options the user can select if the capture date and time, the camera model, the Camera Serial Number, the Resolution of the image and the camera settings are added to the Notes field while cataloging.

  82. The dialog gives information about the camera manufacturer, the camera model, the serial number of the camera, the resolution of the image and the capture date and time.
